I cannot fly; my wings are broken, and born to die.

I scream but make no sound.

My cries are ripped and stunned to the ground.

Darkness slips through my hands, as I cover my face.

Under my skin I feel it, holding me tight in a lace.

I cease to believe as bright light doesn’t appear.

Wandering alone in the deepest state of fear.

Tear myself free and scream at the sky.

But all I hear is my hearts inner cry.

Need your eyes to give me sight,

To hold my fear and give me light.

So please by my shadow when all is lost.

And I shall love you at whatever cost.

I like this one...the first line starts the poem off well, and it continues nicely. the most vivid line, in my opinion, would be the third one. I was a little unclear on the next to last line...but i definitely like this. very nice poem.

Mmmm... nice. It's interesting, these days many of us wish to scream, with anger and disspapointment in our voice, but all we want is love. And to give it. How and why... I love your poem

Yes! :) thank you for that opinion! I'm so glad when people notices the love.
And thanks for the fav!

Nice conveyence of the imagery; and an excellent rhyme scheme as well. I got subtle feeling of desperation and longing while reading this... Which is great of course:D.

Really excellent work!

When I read it, it played to a perect melody... mellow and soft. It seemed to be a feeling of lonliness... being alone is emotionally draining... the image in my mind when I read this was you, standing underneath a dark blue sky... staring up into the night, a tear that wouldn't fall... so instead of a cry, you let out a small helpless moan... not being able to scream. You look away from the empty sky... and sink to the ground and close your eyes... thinking of the one you're making yourself love... I loved it.

Oh my... I'm Honoured. I never thought anyone else could feel my poem this much... impressive! (= Thank you so much! Which song was it? I must know.

It wasn't a song I'd ever heard... your words had their own melody... it was one I couldn't hum or sing... but one I could feel. And feeling it was so strange... it was like I was feeling someone elses emotion.
